After having camped in The Dordogne for a week, dad and I decided to head south-east to a campsite just outside of the town Castellane. The campsite was called Domaine du Verdon, and while it was a lot busier than we would have liked, it was in a very privileged location right in the heart of the the Verdon Regional Park, meaning the site was surrounded by beautiful mountains and the famous Gorges du Verdon. I’d been on several family camping trips to the Dordogne as a child, and so have been wanting to go back to the area again for quite some time. This time round however, it was just me and my dad, and we got the ferry from Dover to Calais, and then drove to a campsite called Camping Le Tiradou, which was a lovely family run site. I usually prefer smaller, family-run campsites as they tend to be less busy.
